WEBVTT 00:00.220 --> 00:03.320 HELP fully 00:33.320 --> 00:38.600 Hi everyone this is Claudia Militarou back on John Militarou Ministries show 00:38.600 --> 00:43.320 I'm here with my father John Militarou we just got back from our December trip 00:43.320 --> 00:48.240 our annual Christmas trip that we take every year we just got back it was a very 00:48.240 --> 00:51.800 successful trip it was a very interesting trip we've never experienced 00:51.800 --> 00:55.920 some of the stuff that we experienced ever before which we'll get more in 00:55.920 --> 00:59.920 detail later on in this show but first of all I want to say thank you to 00:59.920 --> 01:03.160 everyone that's helped us with everything and prayed for us prayed for 01:03.160 --> 01:08.040 for our safety which is very important what was very important on this trip and 01:08.040 --> 01:13.080 for all God's blessing that he helped us with everything that we did before we 01:13.080 --> 01:16.600 start before I want to get in any details of the trip I wanted to read the 01:16.600 --> 01:20.600 scripture that my dad and I picked out before we started this program I want to 01:20.600 --> 01:26.720 go first in the chapter which is the book of Matthew chapter 19th but I 01:26.720 --> 01:30.120 want to go to verse 13 first it says here then the little children were 01:30.120 --> 01:34.200 brought to him that he might put his hands on them and prayed but the 01:34.200 --> 01:38.080 disciples rebuked them so the disciples basically rebuked the kids from coming 01:38.080 --> 01:42.640 to Jesus see a lot of people forget that kids are innocent they are the future of 01:42.640 --> 01:49.080 our of anything of this world and they just put them aside see John Militarou 01:49.080 --> 01:54.640 Ministries we see the kids as innocent people that need to show love to and to 01:54.640 --> 01:58.240 understand there's someone out there that loves them and I thought of that 01:58.240 --> 02:01.960 you know that was a very important because Jesus says here but Jesus said 02:01.960 --> 02:05.800 let the little children come to me and do not forbid them for all such is the 02:05.800 --> 02:09.640 kingdom of heaven so we need not to forget the kids at all and that's 02:09.640 --> 02:13.360 our focus with these Christmas packages to show the love to these little 02:13.360 --> 02:17.840 children because where we go to we go to the little villages tucked away in areas 02:17.840 --> 02:21.720 that you can never imagine where they're at a lot of people think of the cities 02:21.720 --> 02:25.800 think of the local towns near the cities but they forgive at the villages and 02:25.800 --> 02:30.280 that's the focus that's where we do we go to the local to the deep deep villages 02:30.280 --> 02:35.280 where it's impossible to go many times even by vehicle or even by I mean you 02:35.280 --> 02:39.160 need a horse with a sleigh to go through the snow to get to some of these 02:39.160 --> 02:43.760 villages but that's why I wanted to mention first I wanted to focus on that 02:43.760 --> 02:47.200 that the kids that's what was our focus on this trip to show them the love that 02:47.200 --> 02:50.080 when they grow up one day they won't forget that somebody actually cared 02:50.080 --> 02:53.720 about them at Christmas that they came over there personally to give them a 02:53.720 --> 02:59.400 gift and and show their love to them and show the love of Jesus but and you can 02:59.400 --> 03:04.080 read the next verse from verse 14 also yeah the first 14 says and he laid hands 03:04.080 --> 03:08.240 on them and departed from there so Jesus prayed for them and laid hands and loved 03:08.240 --> 03:13.280 on them out of his whole heart because he knows that kids are the future of the 03:13.280 --> 03:18.200 world and before you start to describe the trip this part of Romania which we 03:18.200 --> 03:24.960 went it's is the Norse and the coldest point and Romania which is Moldavia 03:24.960 --> 03:31.240 Moldova Ukraine and Romania and a little city called the Raban which is only 03:31.240 --> 03:36.960 12,000 people live in that little city near to that city we went and this time 03:36.960 --> 03:40.840 when it's a lot of poverty people they live in so much poverty their homes are 03:40.840 --> 03:46.440 made by mud I mean even the locals call it the third world of Romania people I 03:46.440 --> 03:50.840 never actually heard people say that in Romania say this is a third part third 03:50.840 --> 03:55.240 world of Romania where you know you have the cities you have the towns and then 03:55.240 --> 03:58.800 there's the third world part and we never been before and also your brother 03:58.800 --> 04:03.440 came with us Emmanuel my brother came with me and my dad and was us three and 04:03.440 --> 04:07.080 then we had two other people from Germany that joined us yes and then we 04:07.080 --> 04:10.600 had two other people from the local areas it was a smaller team than usual 04:10.600 --> 04:15.040 but you know it was actually a blessed we were very prosperous and what we did 04:15.040 --> 04:20.120 we finished packages even faster than before it was a short trip and 04:20.120 --> 04:26.280 successful but what we did first we started off with arriving there to the 04:26.280 --> 04:30.940 local room in the local city where we usually go to where we stationed in a 04:30.940 --> 04:34.960 little church where we bought you know we brought all the food all the 04:34.960 --> 04:38.680 chocolates the sweets the teddy bears and where we we did a whole assembly 04:38.680 --> 04:43.160 line we made a nice package right if you pretty soon we'll go to a videotape 04:43.160 --> 04:47.420 where I explained each package what we have in them from the from all the 04:47.420 --> 04:51.200 sweets all the way to the teddy bear if you guys want you can roll that the 04:51.200 --> 04:56.760 video in this video show the go down this line that we created an assembly 04:56.760 --> 05:01.640 line here and I'll explain to you guys exactly what we've ever putting in each 05:01.640 --> 05:07.840 package today we went and bought these little chocolates from the flea market 05:07.840 --> 05:12.300 we got a good price for these these are actually Ukrainian chocolates we got 05:12.300 --> 05:17.320 these we're gonna put one of these in each package and then the the church in 05:17.320 --> 05:22.640 Ingolstadt helped us purchase some Napoleon wafers and we're gonna put one 05:22.640 --> 05:30.680 of these packages in the in the in the bag and then also we purchased a biscuit 05:30.680 --> 05:35.640 vanilla it's like a cookie Romanian style cookie where it's either filled 05:35.640 --> 05:39.760 with chocolate filling or vanilla filling we bought these to put one of 05:39.760 --> 05:45.480 these and then we also have a box of raisins that were donated from America 05:45.480 --> 05:49.920 from Fresno California actually we appreciate them for helping us out and 05:49.920 --> 05:53.760 we're gonna probably put two of these in each package and then lastly we also 05:53.760 --> 05:58.320 have chocolate bars that once again the church in Ingolstadt helped us purchase 05:58.320 --> 06:04.480 these these are pretty big chocolate chocolates to put in the package and 06:04.480 --> 06:07.800 when the kids see this they are shocked because a lot of people came and 06:07.800 --> 06:12.760 reported by this to give to their child for Christmas so we're we're happy to 06:12.760 --> 06:18.760 have these and then our brother Georgica is putting together our bags that every 06:18.760 --> 06:23.740 year we do we put a label on here with a scripture from Isaiah explaining the 06:23.740 --> 06:29.000 meaning of Christmas to each child so they know the message of the meaning of 06:29.000 --> 06:32.420 Christmas so this is a good way of spreading the word at Christmas time to 06:32.420 --> 06:36.760 the non-christians so we purchased these bags and he's putting these labels on 06:36.760 --> 06:43.640 each and one of them and lastly the most famous thing that we do for John 06:43.640 --> 06:46.760 Lutheran Ministries we collect teddy bears throughout the whole year and we put 06:46.760 --> 06:51.720 teddy bears in each package and so we're going to be putting this in the 06:51.720 --> 06:59.800 package with all the goodies that we have this is something that these kids 06:59.800 --> 07:03.720 never receive anything and their families don't even have anything to 07:03.720 --> 07:06.560 give them for Christmas and of course we go to the villages not the cities 07:06.560 --> 07:11.120 mostly to the villages where nobody actually goes to them we're predicting 07:11.120 --> 07:19.340 approximately a thousand we're trying to do these packages for them see this is 07:19.340 --> 07:23.720 what we did those are all the items that we put on each package and we were able 07:23.720 --> 07:30.080 to give approximately 1,500 out including a local network where we always give 07:30.080 --> 07:36.400 some kids probably 250 kids exactly and in a local church that helped us with 07:36.400 --> 07:39.880 that always helps us we're actually in connection with them all the time but we 07:39.880 --> 07:43.760 that's approximately 1,500 packages we made this year it's not necessarily the 07:43.760 --> 07:48.740 number that we focus on it's actually where we go who we touch we want to go 07:48.740 --> 07:52.840 to areas where nobody goes that nobody even considers going where it's actually 07:52.840 --> 07:57.360 impossible to go this year we were hit with a lot of snow a lot of weather 07:57.360 --> 08:01.120 conditions and somehow we made it halfway through there and we're able to 08:01.120 --> 08:06.600 distribute all those packages but you know it was it was not planned the way 08:06.600 --> 08:10.400 certain things happened for instance we got stuck in the snow for a little bit 08:10.400 --> 08:15.880 for five days and four nights and we got delayed coming back home but we thank 08:15.880 --> 08:20.200 God for his protection and providing us a place to stay while we're stranded 08:20.200 --> 08:23.960 literally stranded in a little village when we didn't know a soul there at all 08:23.960 --> 08:28.400 but God helped us meet someone and they welcomed us in their home and opened 08:28.400 --> 08:33.600 their arms wide open with food and I mean we were 11 people in two rooms only 08:33.600 --> 08:37.720 which is pretty close quarters especially for us Americans growing up 08:37.720 --> 08:40.880 here in America where we're used to our big homes and you know we all want our 08:40.880 --> 08:45.880 little spaces in our house but but we we we thank God for not allowing us to 08:45.880 --> 08:51.120 stay in the local schools on benches sleeping on them but he opened this house 08:51.120 --> 08:54.820 for us where we could stay but so the villages where we visited where we 08:54.820 --> 09:00.080 visited Red U we went to the local schools we spoke to them ahead of time 09:00.080 --> 09:04.640 we told them I want to mention about those villages when I went in September 09:04.640 --> 09:10.760 and searched the area myself yeah I checked to a local pastor over there from 09:10.760 --> 09:16.960 ready in he described to me those villages nobody did anything for them 09:16.960 --> 09:24.040 before before and also they are not even maybe one or two Christian evangelical 09:24.040 --> 09:28.000 Christian in that area all of them they call themselves Christian as the 09:28.000 --> 09:32.280 Orthodox as Greek Orthodox but they have nothing to do with the relationship with 09:32.280 --> 09:36.360 Christ and the important things is when we came in those villages and even a 09:36.360 --> 09:42.160 show later on in the village in a video we share with them about Christ what is 09:42.160 --> 09:46.920 all about not only giving gifts to the kids but also give them hope for the 09:46.920 --> 09:51.560 eternity and tell them about what we celebrate about what's the meaning of 09:51.560 --> 09:54.840 Christmas yeah because when he asked them many times I asked him I said what 09:54.840 --> 10:01.360 is the celebration this month some of them they said Santa Claus yeah other 10:01.360 --> 10:05.480 they said the world it's Christmas rather they said is the birth of Jesus 10:05.480 --> 10:10.480 and then I start open the Bible and talk to them about Jesus because not only the 10:10.480 --> 10:16.120 kids was there but some of the parents and most of the teachers and even the 10:16.120 --> 10:20.240 priest because they have religious hours there where they teach religion school 10:20.240 --> 10:26.720 class so we this time we went to read you your can your can you can we went to 10:26.720 --> 10:31.280 we went to Red Hoods fruit here and then those are the three villages we were able 10:31.280 --> 10:36.880 to visit ourselves for the first day and we went into the schools and we talked 10:36.880 --> 10:40.800 to the principals we talked to the directors and we they gathered the new 10:40.800 --> 10:44.240 work all coming they were all prepared for me get all the kids all the kids 10:44.240 --> 10:50.480 from preschool all the way to 7th grade or 7th grade or 8th grade maybe it is 10:50.480 --> 10:55.760 8th grade but we we mostly focus on the smaller classes like the the preschool 10:55.760 --> 10:59.920 all the way to fourth fifth grade because the older kids are a handful of 10:59.920 --> 11:04.440 them only and because I don't feel but we each school had approximately two 11:04.440 --> 11:08.600 three hundred kids in them and we went over there and we we spoke to them that 11:08.600 --> 11:12.640 the directors and the principals were completely open for us to come they were 11:12.640 --> 11:16.560 actually happy and and excited for us to go in their school and they allowed us 11:16.560 --> 11:21.040 to read a scripture at the Bible they allowed us to explain to pray for them 11:21.040 --> 11:25.400 to bless them and and they actually some of them had a song prepared for us in 11:25.400 --> 11:29.360 in in Romanian actually a Christian song to sing to us because they want to thank 11:29.360 --> 11:35.760 us for coming in the school so it was a very successful time over there yeah we 11:35.760 --> 11:39.720 can show the video which we start we start first with what with the radium 11:39.720 --> 11:44.360 right red you yeah we went in there and then we went into the other but this 11:44.360 --> 11:49.080 video actually talks about how we were taking each goodie and put them in the 11:49.080 --> 11:53.240 bag this is how the bag was formed it's myself my dad my brother Emmanuel and 11:53.240 --> 11:58.520 then we have pastor Georgica with sister Veronica and then we also have a couple 11:58.520 --> 12:02.000 other people that are gonna come in and help us but it's a lot of work it's 12:02.000 --> 12:06.440 gonna take us several hours probably a day or two to put everything together 12:06.440 --> 12:11.080 but this is the whole goal is to come here in the middle of winter it's 12:11.080 --> 12:15.600 actually it's pretty cold it's minus 10 Celsius which is approximately what 10 12:15.600 --> 12:20.120 15 degrees outside we're pretty bundled up thankfully we have a good stove here 12:20.120 --> 12:25.840 that is providing us enough heat in this building and we'll be able to put this 12:25.840 --> 12:29.800 together so we start off with two of these special chocolates from Ukraine 12:29.800 --> 12:33.160 that we have we're gonna put two of these in the package then Napoleon 12:33.160 --> 12:38.520 wafers we're gonna put in a Romanian biscuit with the filling of vanilla in 12:38.520 --> 12:43.720 them and then we're gonna put two boxes of raisins in each package a bar of 12:43.720 --> 12:50.600 chocolate and then dad and the and a teddy bear that's how we create these 12:50.600 --> 12:54.360 packages and we're gonna create each and every one of them like this by hand and 12:54.360 --> 13:03.960 then we hand this distribute them to the kids that we did those all by hand we we 13:03.960 --> 13:09.160 were very small handful of people and 1500 we did 15 have packages by hand it 13:09.160 --> 13:13.000 took a lot of time it was very cold obviously you can see that we were all 13:13.000 --> 13:17.240 bundled up and but what is about the store I know it's not an interesting 13:17.240 --> 13:23.560 heating system that's the that's the whole the what a man or call the poor 13:23.560 --> 13:29.200 man's heating system in the church it's actually handmade by a local guy over 13:29.200 --> 13:32.680 that made that and actually keeps it pretty warm in there well that that man 13:32.680 --> 13:36.760 which is the pastor of that building over there the church of that place he's 13:36.760 --> 13:40.480 building a new place and we pray the Lord to provide the funds to be able to 13:40.480 --> 13:45.160 get a bigger location and we move our organization over there from Romania 13:45.160 --> 13:49.360 from the south of Romania to the north of Romania because from next few years 13:49.360 --> 13:53.200 we like to touch those area again and that's why we pray the Lord to provide 13:53.200 --> 13:58.720 the funds to be able to go in the new building but we we've been very thankful 13:58.720 --> 14:03.360 because we have that place yes we're very thankful I'm even though minus 27 14:03.360 --> 14:08.920 Celsius which is very cold that's extremely cold yes but we so after doing 14:08.920 --> 14:13.520 all those packages we went the first day over there so we're in the village of 14:13.520 --> 14:18.920 the den our first location where we're doing it looks like it's um kindergarten 14:18.920 --> 14:26.320 through sixth grade I believe is that sixth grade five six seven maybe sixth 14:26.320 --> 14:32.720 grade fifth or sixth grade I just get the classes and they tell us zero one 14:32.720 --> 14:38.400 or four plus the means oh okay so kindergarten it's K through fourth grade 14:38.400 --> 14:45.600 no correct so this is our first location where we're going okay pretty yeah pretty 14:45.600 --> 14:53.960 cold it's snowy so there's 57 kids in this school which is kindergarten the 14:53.960 --> 14:58.280 fourth grade there's three teachers and then there was also 18 kids absent which 14:58.280 --> 15:04.080 we gave to the professors to give out their gifts to them tomorrow so very 15:04.080 --> 15:09.200 behaved kids very well behaved kids really good good job 15:09.760 --> 15:14.920 more kind we're in the village of more Con I the professors just told me there's 15:14.920 --> 15:19.160 310 kids I believe and there's a kindergarten through eighth grade here 15:19.160 --> 15:47.160 they've all gathered together in this the packages 15:49.160 --> 16:04.760 they were so thankful they came one by one like the mannerism they had wonder 16:04.760 --> 16:08.160 I mean the mannerism they were so well taught in school and by their parents 16:08.160 --> 16:13.320 they were thanking us one by one didn't just they waited even one child came up 16:13.320 --> 16:16.840 to me and I was gonna hand him a gift he goes no no no I already got one I just 16:16.840 --> 16:21.040 wanted to watch you guys because he most kids in other areas would say they would 16:21.040 --> 16:26.480 have taken other back and like well like a year before was was an area near north 16:26.480 --> 16:31.480 of Romania also we did in 2011 and there were so many kids over there and they 16:31.480 --> 16:35.640 and some of them they hide their packets they want another one but these kids 16:35.640 --> 16:40.400 but those kids were so different I I've been so amazed I mean I never seen my 16:40.400 --> 16:45.480 life they are so poor mm-hmm but so well mannered well mannered well behaved I 16:45.480 --> 16:48.720 mean we've been talked to the teachers there and that's their focus the teachers 16:48.720 --> 16:52.200 actually every single hour almost they said thank you in Romanian language oh 16:52.200 --> 16:56.560 yeah thank you thank you all the way from the preschool age all the way to 16:56.560 --> 17:00.000 the seventh eighth grade age they were all thanking us for everything that we 17:00.000 --> 17:03.080 did for them to actually come out there because nobody actually never went out 17:03.080 --> 17:07.720 there to give out packages yeah and we went back again but unfortunately the 17:07.720 --> 17:13.440 the we were blocked in we got blocked in and we were able to leave you know a 17:13.440 --> 17:17.920 handful of items with the locals over there that we trusted and the actual 17:17.920 --> 17:22.280 local elder right of the church yes and he will he actually actually donated all 17:22.280 --> 17:27.000 the rest of the stuff right dad yeah so we're in in the village of Red U and 17:27.000 --> 17:30.080 that's their surrounding villages are where we're supposed to donate this food 17:30.080 --> 17:35.320 but unfortunately the roads are blocked and it's impossible for us to go in the 17:35.320 --> 17:40.080 area to deliver this by hand so we're actually in the one of the elders home 17:40.080 --> 17:44.200 here that he's the main guy that travels around these villages to take care of 17:44.200 --> 17:48.480 the the Christians over here and so we're going to package them individually 17:48.480 --> 17:54.400 in each bag according to their family according to their family and what we're 17:54.400 --> 17:59.160 going to put in there we put rice we have rice this was donated by the church 17:59.160 --> 18:03.120 in Ingolstadt we've worked with them several times and we were thankful that 18:03.120 --> 18:09.400 they've donated once again to help us out so we have rice we have pasta we 18:09.400 --> 18:16.160 have also got we have some oil to give to them flour and sugar these are just 18:16.160 --> 18:20.880 necessary you know how should I say pantry needs that they need to have to 18:20.880 --> 18:25.720 survive if they're trapped or if they don't have anything so this will make a 18:25.720 --> 18:29.040 difference for them in the winter months especially now when they're trapped in 18:29.040 --> 18:34.200 their homes so what our plan is to do is to put all the the supplies in the 18:34.200 --> 18:38.400 package and then we go and we'll put them by name by how many kids are in each 18:38.400 --> 18:42.840 family and after that when the roads clear up a little bit they'll come in 18:42.840 --> 18:49.920 and pick up their package there are approximately 35 families some of them 18:49.920 --> 18:55.080 range from 13 kids 15 kids or one child so we have to do according to how many 18:55.080 --> 19:01.160 kids are in the family so this is the list that was given to us by the locals 19:01.160 --> 19:09.640 here by the one of the elders in the fan in the church so unfortunately we were 19:09.640 --> 19:14.240 not able to go to the the rest of the villages the schools that we were planned 19:14.240 --> 19:19.320 to go to to donate the rest of the kids packages so we had to leave them here to 19:19.320 --> 19:23.720 the one of the elders in the church that you can go donate them personally to the 19:23.720 --> 19:28.480 schools they're expecting us to come by but there are more storms coming in 19:28.480 --> 19:33.760 there's approximately nine feet of snow blocked up on the roads that's why we 19:33.760 --> 19:37.720 came and go through nine feet of snow that's a lot of snow and the cloud machines 19:37.720 --> 19:42.080 haven't had a chance to come by and clean up the roads yet so there's no way 19:42.080 --> 19:45.840 for us to go through it and there's no way for us to go in next week because 19:45.840 --> 19:49.880 they say there's another big storm coming in next week so that's where we're 19:49.880 --> 19:53.800 storing them and then as soon as the door soon as the roads open up that's 19:53.800 --> 19:59.760 where they'll be donating the rest of the packages. All these dry goods we thought of it ahead of 19:59.760 --> 20:04.000 time saying this is a good pantry need in everyone's home to have. Was a ton of 20:04.000 --> 20:08.360 food we brought from Germany. For Germany we had two people that came with us from 20:08.360 --> 20:11.800 Germany actually drove all the way from Germany all the way to Romania which 20:11.800 --> 20:15.960 took them almost two days. With a little trail in the back of the van. Mm-hmm and 20:15.960 --> 20:19.080 they came over there and we unfortunately we were not able to go to 20:19.080 --> 20:23.680 the families to donate the food but we we got all the names of the families 20:23.680 --> 20:28.080 wrote each name on the bag we assembled you know we put each bag 20:28.080 --> 20:31.440 with all according to how many kids or how many people were in the family we 20:31.440 --> 20:36.600 put all the food in there and and we we gave the permission to the local elder 20:36.600 --> 20:40.440 of the church over there to go deliver them once the roads opened up because 20:40.440 --> 20:45.240 the weather was so bad that the villages were actually snowed in. Like six feet 20:45.240 --> 20:49.480 high. At least six to nine feet high people were snowed in literally I mean we 20:49.480 --> 20:52.680 didn't believe until we saw with our own eyes when we got stuck in the snow how 20:52.680 --> 20:57.240 easy you are stranded in there. So Saturday morning because we left early in the 20:57.240 --> 21:01.000 morning. And we our desire is to leave back Monday towards the middle of the 21:01.000 --> 21:05.640 country to catch the plane and Wednesday. Yes. But was not possible we stood there 21:05.640 --> 21:10.520 Saturday. Saturday we got stuck. Saturday night. After we finished the 21:10.520 --> 21:15.120 mission over there we got Saturday night all night long. Sunday morning we went to 21:15.120 --> 21:20.320 this family. We walked actually we had we had the military like one mile the 21:20.320 --> 21:23.760 military from the border because we were right at the border of Moldova and 21:23.760 --> 21:29.800 Romania. They had to come they actually the authorities sent them to us to come 21:29.800 --> 21:33.080 and take us make us get out of the cars because it was impossible for the plow 21:33.080 --> 21:38.600 machines. The reason part of the reason we got stuck was the workers first of 21:38.600 --> 21:42.720 all was a Saturday a lot of them went drinking at the bar and by the time they 21:42.720 --> 21:46.360 realized the snow was coming down so heavily it was too late for them to come 21:46.360 --> 21:50.480 out. They came out with their plow machines but we forget the plow 21:50.480 --> 21:54.360 machines are not plow machines you see in Western Europe or Romania. I mean in 21:54.360 --> 21:58.200 America. They are from 1960. They are from the 60s like from World War II. I mean 21:58.200 --> 22:02.360 they're so old you should see these plow machines you think you're in a movie. 22:02.360 --> 22:08.360 And finally at midnight a plow machine said he is gonna come and get us out one 22:08.360 --> 22:13.360 of the workers. He came after us and we followed him halfway through between a 22:13.360 --> 22:17.080 village and another village and it broke down. That's what happened we broke down 22:17.080 --> 22:21.320 in middle of a field where was one of the worst conditions possible. I mean the 22:21.320 --> 22:25.580 windshield was incredible. Every three hours we have to come out to dig the 22:25.580 --> 22:30.440 snow around the car because the car was snowing in. Exactly and then finally 22:30.440 --> 22:35.480 Sunday after one two o'clock in the afternoon we had the military come two 22:35.480 --> 22:40.080 people from the military to come and tell us that we have to walk knee-deep in 22:40.080 --> 22:46.000 the snow for an hour for a mile and a half in the snow to walk. That's why we 22:46.000 --> 22:51.060 say we've never experienced such an adventure before for us in John 22:51.060 --> 22:57.160 Milton Industries. And he stood there like Sunday, Monday and Tuesday finally 22:57.160 --> 23:01.640 Wednesday morning they start cleaning the road for the first time. Every three 23:01.640 --> 23:04.400 hours they were saying they were saying somebody they were saying somebody but 23:04.400 --> 23:11.160 nobody came over there. But we were thankful because later on we 23:11.160 --> 23:16.480 put those food and those bags you know and for those 35 family and 23:16.480 --> 23:22.760 Mitok Prut it's called Mitok Prut. I went in September in that area and I 23:22.760 --> 23:29.240 searched the area every single house over there almost every from 10 you 23:29.240 --> 23:34.680 count like 10 houses maybe one is made by brick the rest are made by mud. Mud 23:34.680 --> 23:39.240 bricks. Mud brick and they have no foundation. I mean if it's a lot of 23:39.240 --> 23:44.380 snow if it's a lot of rain they can easily tilt it like you see we went 23:44.380 --> 23:47.640 through one of the homes which was tilted halfway almost and I don't know 23:47.640 --> 23:52.200 how these ladies. It gets slanted. So we're walking down the street to a 23:52.200 --> 23:58.200 widow that is approximately 70 years old and nobody's here to take care of her no 23:58.200 --> 24:02.560 kids or anything like that. She lives by herself so we're walking down the street 24:02.560 --> 24:07.720 to go give her some food that we have that was donated by some local churches in Germany 24:07.720 --> 24:12.600 so we're walking in the snow. 24:12.600 --> 24:25.640 This is the widow's house. It's almost falling down on her. 24:42.600 --> 24:45.640 She did no testament. 24:45.640 --> 24:51.640 Right next to you, her little goats. 24:57.640 --> 25:06.440 Granddaughter I think and has a dog inside and also has a little goat yeah and the 25:06.440 --> 25:10.520 house was all stilted I don't know how she can stay over there without thinking 25:10.520 --> 25:14.560 the house is gonna fell down in one day and she never gonna come alive from 25:14.560 --> 25:19.520 there but that's most of the houses made over there by mud and that's why so much 25:19.520 --> 25:25.520 poverty over there in that area but we are so glad we were able to do this this 25:25.520 --> 25:29.320 work of the Lord actually and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart 25:29.320 --> 25:34.360 because without many of you which they pray for us and also helping us to do 25:34.360 --> 25:40.760 this project we were not able to do it and not only because we got stuck in the 25:40.760 --> 25:45.880 snow that was an experience which probably for Claudia and and Emmanuel 25:45.880 --> 25:48.760 even for yourself you never got stuck in a snow like this before. 25:48.760 --> 25:56.040 Yeah was an experience to be in a country like that which which we went to this 25:56.040 --> 26:00.680 house which was a mud house by the way this house which you which we sleep to 26:00.680 --> 26:05.880 and they have no water in the well. That was quite an experience too because 26:05.880 --> 26:10.120 there's a huge there was actually huge drought in the fall and the wells are 26:10.120 --> 26:14.520 dried up and they have just a couple buckets every day two or three buckets 26:14.520 --> 26:18.680 and they have to melt the snow and you have to count the the water in the 26:18.680 --> 26:21.440 bathroom when you go to the bathroom you know we were thankful we actually had a 26:21.440 --> 26:24.760 bathroom in the house because most of the time those kind of villages you have to 26:24.760 --> 26:29.320 use the outhouses but we we were thankful that God you know even though 26:29.320 --> 26:33.560 you would go well why would God allow you to get stuck in the snow we don't 26:33.560 --> 26:37.280 know why but look what happened he provided a house for us to stay in a 26:37.280 --> 26:42.000 roof a warm house with food and people were you know we they were actually 26:42.000 --> 26:45.560 Christians and yeah they were Seventh-day Adventist Christians. Who would have known 26:45.560 --> 26:49.760 that this would have happened nobody knew but we could see little by little 26:49.760 --> 26:55.320 how God you know led our steps. And I was so thankful because we have some food 26:55.320 --> 26:59.920 left in the van. We were able to help them too. We helped them to give them some good 26:59.920 --> 27:05.360 size for to have for us probably the whole month of December and January with 27:05.360 --> 27:10.240 with the food we were able to help them. This program is the first program we did 27:10.240 --> 27:17.680 in 2013 after we came from this mission but I believe the Lord will keep that 27:17.680 --> 27:24.280 door open for many of you to be touched by the gospel and to be changed because 27:24.280 --> 27:30.160 the time is now exactly how we like to do it over and over again to go in those 27:30.160 --> 27:36.040 conditions and Christmas time and the winter time. You helping us you've been 27:36.040 --> 27:40.680 a part of this mission some of you maybe will say well I don't know if I can do 27:40.680 --> 27:45.360 that but you can do it through the through the things what the Lord put in 27:45.360 --> 27:50.160 your heart some people they help us in this and this mission with teddy bears 27:50.160 --> 27:54.040 we thank you for these couples which they provided teddy bears for us Lee 27:54.040 --> 27:59.320 Hanson and Levan they they provide all these teddy bears. We thank you for the 27:59.320 --> 28:03.640 two churches in Germany which they provide for us that last several years 28:03.640 --> 28:08.760 bars of chocolates and also those how you call that Napoleon's Napoleon yeah 28:08.760 --> 28:14.680 yeah wifers and the food and the food yeah and also we thank you for the 28:14.680 --> 28:19.000 people from United States which give us the finances to be able to purchase some 28:19.000 --> 28:24.440 more stuff for Romania and also to pay for the gasoline and for our tickets and 28:24.440 --> 28:32.400 and to see the blessing of God you know we need a team and only the Lord can put 28:32.400 --> 28:36.000 a team together like that you know people from Germany from United States 28:36.000 --> 28:44.920 and also from Romania and is the team was there but also is the desire to right 28:44.920 --> 28:49.520 we have to have a desire to do the hard work yes if you would like to receive 28:49.520 --> 28:56.680 our monthly newsletter please call us at our toll free number 888-622-5788 28:56.680 --> 29:02.720 or email us at johnmeletaru at yahoo.com you will be up to date on our mission 29:02.720 --> 29:18.520 work our television ministry and a word to bless and encourage you 35:32.720 --> 35:38.240 to pray a message I say not only me because of the situation I was with 35:38.240 --> 35:42.800 Andrei here and with my little one I say to him and how much it mattered to us and how 35:42.800 --> 35:46.640 I kept in touch with you and how the Spirit of God knew and he took us through 35:46.640 --> 35:36.440 words and gave us a word of 35:36.440 --> 35:52.440 the man from the Holy Scripture is something that cannot be explained in words 35:52.440 --> 35:56.920 it was not a brother to help us we could not do this mission 35:56.920 --> 36:01.040 and I want to say on the other side of the mission we left Saturday morning in 36:01.040 --> 36:04.880 the Holy Spirit of the Holy Spirit was the clean roads but when I got to the Holy Spirit 36:04.880 --> 36:09.760 I saw that the snow was getting more and more and the road seemed to be 36:09.760 --> 36:14.160 getting smaller instead of two benches I was walking a strip and with very hard I 36:14.160 --> 36:19.720 got to the Redim at my brother's house there I was able to talk to him I said 36:19.720 --> 36:24.400 I want to go with my brother he said no you can't get there a two meter snow 36:24.400 --> 36:31.280 and it's soft and neither with horses and with sand you can't go because I haven't 36:31.280 --> 36:34.880 frozen yet the snow was not frozen it was very soft and the horses went up to the 36:34.880 --> 36:39.360 neck up to the neck I mean and they couldn't go through the snow they were 36:39.360 --> 36:47.600 getting soft and then I found a way to buy bags right there from the radio I 36:47.600 --> 36:53.680 bought white raffia bags I put on my brother's car to ring all the brothers 36:53.680 --> 37:02.160 35 families are in Mitoprut and I said to give each name and how many are in the family 37:02.160 --> 37:09.600 and the size of the family members I put the food in bags as you can see here on the video 37:09.600 --> 37:18.480 even a small interview in which we describe what we do so I put them all in these raffia bags 37:18.480 --> 37:24.400 I wrote the names, my brother wrote the names, a brother wrote the names and how many children 37:24.400 --> 37:29.200 are there, we put them in raffia bags, we put them in the living room 37:29.200 --> 37:37.280 with the list and with your names and at the moment when I finished 35 families I had 37:37.280 --> 37:44.080 some food left that I took to the Succeava district where I was at least 10-12 families 37:44.080 --> 37:48.800 but I didn't have the opportunity to go to him, my brother Georgica went personally and 37:48.800 --> 37:55.040 brought them all the time I gave a few phrases from the radio that we went personally 37:55.040 --> 38:01.120 I went to two houses I went to a house to a woman I see you as you can see on the video 38:01.120 --> 38:08.240 and even my brother Georgica did an interview here our sister is very well 38:08.240 --> 38:14.480 well she has a house of earth a house that is made of earth with cold walls 38:14.480 --> 38:21.840 has a single room the house is left on one side ready to be restored in the house 38:21.840 --> 38:29.840 next to it has two goats three goats with which she matures and also lives a dog 38:29.840 --> 38:38.800 that is tied there here she eats in the same house with goats and goats 38:38.800 --> 38:44.560 let's pray to God that God will bless him and give him health and 38:44.560 --> 38:47.520 to be able to take care of the old woman 38:47.520 --> 38:56.080 I have children come home to give them I have a new grandson 38:56.080 --> 39:02.400 今 why are you crying my old is sick and that's the trial 39:02.400 --> 39:05.040 after halling cloud to giving of sa este here 39:05.200 --> 39:11.520 To do the front of the Hutchins all as part of this 39:11.520 --> 39:17.200 Which is now very snowy and we can't get in 39:17.200 --> 39:22.200 It's a half-meter left aside. 39:22.200 --> 39:25.200 It's a house made of earth. 39:25.200 --> 39:26.200 She's a widow. 39:26.200 --> 39:31.200 She had three goats, a dog, her grandson. 39:31.200 --> 39:33.200 They were all in two rooms. 39:33.200 --> 39:36.200 In one room there were the goats, 39:36.200 --> 39:39.200 in which she would milk them to have milk. 39:39.200 --> 39:42.200 And in the room where she sat, where she made the fire, 39:42.200 --> 39:45.200 and where she slept with her grandson. 39:45.200 --> 39:50.200 We took her from what God gave us to give. 39:50.200 --> 39:53.200 And I had the opportunity to show you a house of earth. 39:53.200 --> 39:56.200 Of course, this house looks very bad. 39:56.200 --> 39:59.200 But if I had the opportunity last year, 39:59.200 --> 40:01.200 if you watch the video from September, 40:01.200 --> 40:03.200 you can see the houses that we filmed, 40:03.200 --> 40:04.200 a part of them. 40:04.200 --> 40:07.200 Some of them are very well maintained, very beautiful. 40:07.200 --> 40:10.200 And the people are very hospitable. 40:10.200 --> 40:11.200 But they are houses of earth. 40:11.200 --> 40:13.200 They don't have the possibility. 40:13.200 --> 40:16.200 If a storm comes, a flood comes, 40:16.200 --> 40:18.200 a big snow comes, 40:18.200 --> 40:20.200 it can fall. 40:20.200 --> 40:23.200 In September it was like in a certain period, 40:23.200 --> 40:27.200 in a territory where a few dozen houses, 40:27.200 --> 40:30.200 a few years ago, now it's an island. 40:30.200 --> 40:32.200 There's nothing left because they were made of earth, 40:32.200 --> 40:34.200 and they came flooding and the water took everything. 40:34.200 --> 40:37.200 Yes, and in the first part of the mission 40:37.200 --> 40:39.200 we gave 570 packages, approximately. 40:39.200 --> 40:41.200 In the second part we gave 680 packages. 40:41.200 --> 40:43.200 We left them to our brothers 40:43.200 --> 40:45.200 to take them to school. 40:45.200 --> 40:49.200 And we received an email and photos. 40:49.200 --> 40:51.200 We received them, as our brothers said, 40:51.200 --> 40:53.200 because they went on the snow. 40:53.200 --> 40:55.200 The snow was frozen. 40:55.200 --> 40:57.200 The people from Mito Pruts came with a special van 40:57.200 --> 40:59.200 to get food, and there were children there. 40:59.200 --> 41:01.200 We gave them packages for the children. 41:01.200 --> 41:03.200 And what a joy it was. 41:03.200 --> 41:05.200 A great joy. 41:05.200 --> 41:07.200 It was a great joy. 41:07.200 --> 41:10.200 But the greatest joy was when we left. 41:10.200 --> 41:12.200 Yes. 41:12.200 --> 41:14.200 Because after we left, 41:14.200 --> 41:16.200 after we visited the houses of these children, 41:16.200 --> 41:18.200 and we visited another house, 41:18.200 --> 41:22.200 two more, I can say, 41:22.200 --> 41:25.200 mentally they had a problem with these people. 41:25.200 --> 41:28.200 They live in a very bright place. 41:28.200 --> 41:31.200 People come and many of them are in charge. 41:31.200 --> 41:34.200 And we had the opportunity to bring them some food 41:34.200 --> 41:36.200 and we prayed for them. 41:36.200 --> 41:38.200 We couldn't do more, 41:38.200 --> 41:40.200 because the snow was very big. 41:40.200 --> 41:42.200 I would have cried a lot, 41:42.200 --> 41:44.200 as I promised to go face to face. 41:44.200 --> 41:46.200 And I knew that, 41:46.200 --> 41:50.200 even if we had the ticket for another week, 41:50.200 --> 41:52.200 the snow wouldn't have stopped. 41:52.200 --> 41:54.200 It would have lasted a few weeks. 41:54.200 --> 41:56.200 That two more weeks it would be cold. 41:56.200 --> 41:58.200 We couldn't afford it, Gian. 41:58.200 --> 42:00.200 We had to stay until the new year 42:00.200 --> 42:02.200 so we could get there in person. 42:02.200 --> 42:04.200 And to get there, 42:04.200 --> 42:06.200 and to get the tickets, 42:06.200 --> 42:08.200 and to tell the owner that all three of you could come 42:08.200 --> 42:10.200 with that flight, that was a miracle. 42:10.200 --> 42:12.200 Well, what happened? 42:12.200 --> 42:14.200 After we left, 42:14.200 --> 42:18.200 we arrived in a village called Horodiste, 42:18.200 --> 42:20.200 if I pronounced it correctly. 42:20.200 --> 42:22.200 Horodiste, it's close to Paltiniş. 42:22.200 --> 42:26.200 Between Horodiste and Dărăban 42:26.200 --> 42:28.200 it's around 12 kilometers. 42:28.200 --> 42:30.200 And we were in Horodiste 42:30.200 --> 42:34.200 and we were waiting for a line of cars. 42:34.200 --> 42:36.200 So we left the radium, 42:36.200 --> 42:38.200 we drove about 6-8 kilometers until Horodiste. 42:38.200 --> 42:40.200 And how long was the day? 42:40.200 --> 42:44.200 It was about two and a half hours after lunch. 42:44.200 --> 42:48.200 And we were told to go no further, 42:48.200 --> 42:50.200 because the road was blocked. 42:50.200 --> 42:52.200 Then we waited for a freight train to come. 42:52.200 --> 42:54.200 A freight train came 42:54.200 --> 42:56.200 and started clearing the road, 42:56.200 --> 42:58.200 as you can see on the video. 42:58.200 --> 43:00.200 And after a kilometer and a half 43:00.200 --> 43:02.200 the freight train broke down. 43:02.200 --> 43:04.200 So we were in a line of cars, 43:04.200 --> 43:06.200 it took us to the freight train, 43:06.200 --> 43:08.200 and it left us in the field. 43:08.200 --> 43:10.200 Because the freight train broke down, 43:10.200 --> 43:12.200 literally broke down and it left 43:12.200 --> 43:14.200 in the end. 43:14.200 --> 43:16.200 And it didn't come back. 43:16.200 --> 43:18.200 It said it would come back in 3 hours, 43:18.200 --> 43:20.200 6, 10, and we had to stay 43:20.200 --> 43:22.200 in the car for 24 hours. 43:22.200 --> 43:24.200 With the engine on. 43:24.200 --> 43:26.200 Of course, from the beginning 43:26.200 --> 43:28.200 we filled the tanks with water. 43:28.200 --> 43:30.200 It was a miracle. 43:30.200 --> 43:32.200 We had water, food, 43:32.200 --> 43:34.200 we didn't have enough water and food 43:34.200 --> 43:36.200 because if I had to go out, 43:36.200 --> 43:38.200 I would have a viscol 43:38.200 --> 43:40.200 that I couldn't resist. 43:40.200 --> 43:42.200 As you can see on the video. 43:42.200 --> 43:44.200 And what was wonderful 43:44.200 --> 43:46.200 was that in front of us 43:46.200 --> 43:48.200 was a brother, Victor, 43:48.200 --> 43:50.200 a shepherd brother 43:50.200 --> 43:52.200 from the Adventist Church 43:52.200 --> 43:54.200 in Holodiste. 43:54.200 --> 43:56.200 He was the one who finished his work. 43:56.200 --> 43:58.200 It was Saturday after lunch 43:58.200 --> 44:00.200 and he was the first car 44:00.200 --> 44:02.200 in front of the column. 44:02.200 --> 44:04.200 And after 44:04.200 --> 44:06.200 8-9 hours 44:06.200 --> 44:08.200 he came to us in the car. 44:08.200 --> 44:10.200 And he said, 44:10.200 --> 44:12.200 we can't come with you 44:12.200 --> 44:14.200 in the car because 44:14.200 --> 44:16.200 the engine is running out. 44:16.200 --> 44:18.200 We have 10 liters of engine and it runs out. 44:18.200 --> 44:20.200 And it was cold. 44:20.200 --> 44:22.200 If the car didn't run, 44:22.200 --> 44:24.200 you could freeze in the car. 44:24.200 --> 44:26.200 Actually, after a few days 44:26.200 --> 44:28.200 we were in the car. 44:28.200 --> 44:30.200 In the car bottles that we left. 44:30.200 --> 44:32.200 And we were with him and there 44:32.200 --> 44:34.200 we stayed 24 hours until the next day. 44:34.200 --> 44:36.200 The phones were running. 44:36.200 --> 44:38.200 And how you had to go around the car 44:38.200 --> 44:40.200 and get out of it. 44:40.200 --> 44:42.200 In 3 hours, the shovel that we bought 44:42.200 --> 44:44.200 helped us a lot because we cleaned the car 44:44.200 --> 44:46.200 at the exhaust pipe 44:46.200 --> 44:48.200 because it was getting cold 44:48.200 --> 44:50.200 in an hour or an hour and a half 44:50.200 --> 44:52.200 to get the floor wet. 44:52.200 --> 44:54.200 The car almost got wet. 44:54.200 --> 44:56.200 We cleaned it. 44:56.200 --> 44:58.200 And he kept telling us, 44:58.200 --> 45:00.200 he kept calling us. 45:00.200 --> 45:02.200 When the 45:02.200 --> 45:04.200 prefect of the county 45:04.200 --> 45:06.200 when the ministry of transport 45:06.200 --> 45:08.200 from Bucharest, 45:08.200 --> 45:10.200 this brother Victor, had many acquaintances 45:10.200 --> 45:12.200 he called one by one, one by one. 45:12.200 --> 45:14.200 And he promised them from time to time 45:14.200 --> 45:16.200 that after 3 hours a shovel would come. 45:16.200 --> 45:18.200 After 2-3 hours, 3-1 hour. 45:18.200 --> 45:20.200 And in the end 45:20.200 --> 45:22.200 we found out that actually 45:22.200 --> 45:24.200 10 of them were already broken 45:24.200 --> 45:26.200 from the start and 5 of them 45:26.200 --> 45:28.200 were broken on the road. 45:28.200 --> 45:30.200 So you realize that 45:30.200 --> 45:32.200 none of them came to us. 45:32.200 --> 45:34.200 And after 24 days 45:34.200 --> 45:36.200 the border police came 45:36.200 --> 45:38.200 and told us to come to the village. 45:38.200 --> 45:40.200 They came and they came down. 45:40.200 --> 45:42.200 A boy and a girl came, they took us 45:42.200 --> 45:44.200 and the brother who was with us 45:44.200 --> 45:46.200 Victor had diabetes, he didn't take 45:46.200 --> 45:48.200 medicine for a long time. 45:48.200 --> 45:50.200 We prayed for him, we said 45:50.200 --> 45:52.200 we don't care, we pray to God 45:52.200 --> 45:54.200 that he will keep you healthy. 45:54.200 --> 45:56.200 It was hard, we went 1.5 km 45:56.200 --> 45:58.200 through the snow, through the rain. 45:58.200 --> 46:00.200 You have a video of that. 46:00.200 --> 46:02.200 To take us to a village where 46:02.200 --> 46:04.200 we stayed with a grandson, we praised the Lord 46:04.200 --> 46:06.200 to the Mironescu family. 46:06.200 --> 46:08.200 The Lord blesses them. 46:08.200 --> 46:10.200 The Mironescu family was a family 46:10.200 --> 46:12.200 and a family that took care of us for 3 more nights. 46:12.200 --> 46:14.200 So we stayed one night in the car 46:14.200 --> 46:16.200 and 3 nights in the car. 46:16.200 --> 46:18.200 4 nights in total we stayed. 46:18.200 --> 46:20.200 We stayed in 2 rooms. 46:20.200 --> 46:22.200 They gave us everything they had. 46:22.200 --> 46:26.200 Morning, lunch and evening. 46:26.200 --> 46:28.200 8 people, only you. 46:28.200 --> 46:30.200 8 people, only us, plus them 2. 46:30.200 --> 46:32.200 The family, yes. 46:32.200 --> 46:34.200 Plus their daughter. 46:34.200 --> 46:36.200 So we were quite crowded 46:36.200 --> 46:38.200 in their room. 46:38.200 --> 46:40.200 They slept on the floor 46:40.200 --> 46:42.200 so we could sleep on the floor. 46:42.200 --> 46:44.200 Of course the others slept on the floor 46:44.200 --> 46:46.200 when we didn't all have a room. 46:46.200 --> 46:48.200 So 2-4 people couldn't sleep. 46:48.200 --> 46:50.200 And I bless the Lord 46:50.200 --> 46:52.200 that they gave us some food 46:52.200 --> 46:54.200 because we sent 2 young people 46:54.200 --> 46:56.200 to the van the next day. 46:56.200 --> 46:58.200 They went and brought some food. 46:58.200 --> 47:00.200 Glory be to God! 47:00.200 --> 47:02.200 And finally we had Wednesday morning. 47:02.200 --> 47:04.200 So you think about it. 47:04.200 --> 47:06.200 Wednesday morning we had to be in Cluj. 47:06.200 --> 47:08.200 And Wednesday morning 47:08.200 --> 47:10.200 the weather was very nice. 47:10.200 --> 47:12.200 It was a bit of a cold. 47:12.200 --> 47:14.200 It was a bit of a cold. 47:14.200 --> 47:16.200 But we came. 47:16.200 --> 47:18.200 We were told to go. 47:18.200 --> 47:20.200 That there was a dam 47:20.200 --> 47:22.200 that the Minister of Transport 47:22.200 --> 47:24.200 came with a helicopter to watch over. 47:24.200 --> 47:26.200 All this activity, the Prefect, 47:26.200 --> 47:28.200 I understood that he gave them 47:28.200 --> 47:30.200 an ultimatum to be released. 47:30.200 --> 47:32.200 We talked on the phone 47:32.200 --> 47:34.200 with everyone. 47:34.200 --> 47:36.200 I was on the third antenna 47:36.200 --> 47:38.200 from Romania. 47:38.200 --> 47:40.200 They interviewed me twice on the phone. 47:40.200 --> 47:42.200 They called me from Cluj, Timisoara, 47:42.200 --> 47:44.200 and they told me that I heard 47:44.200 --> 47:46.200 the voice on the television. 47:46.200 --> 47:48.200 And they wanted to know 47:48.200 --> 47:50.200 if we were okay or not. 47:50.200 --> 47:52.200 Because they said that all the roads 47:52.200 --> 47:54.200 were cleaned. And there was no clean road 47:54.200 --> 47:56.200 for 4, 5 days. 47:56.200 --> 47:58.200 And it was a road 47:58.200 --> 48:00.200 for the judge, 48:00.200 --> 48:02.200 a road from Prut 48:02.200 --> 48:04.200 to Siret. 48:04.200 --> 48:06.200 It was 48:06.200 --> 48:08.200 a very important road. 48:08.200 --> 48:10.200 It was 48:10.200 --> 48:12.200 a road that was 48:12.200 --> 48:14.200 blocked by the police. 48:14.200 --> 48:16.200 We saw animals 48:16.200 --> 48:18.200 that died in the cold. 48:18.200 --> 48:20.200 They were not able 48:20.200 --> 48:22.200 to get them out of the snow. 48:22.200 --> 48:24.200 We were here 48:24.200 --> 48:26.200 at the Romanian TV. 48:26.200 --> 48:28.200 We were watching 48:28.200 --> 48:30.200 on the phone, on the map. 48:30.200 --> 48:32.200 We were used to the locals. 48:32.200 --> 48:34.200 We praise God that this family 48:34.200 --> 48:36.200 was there. 48:36.200 --> 48:38.200 Because the majority 48:38.200 --> 48:40.200 of our parents were 48:40.200 --> 48:42.200 in the car with people, 48:42.200 --> 48:44.200 they stayed on benches 48:44.200 --> 48:46.200 in the village school. 48:46.200 --> 48:48.200 Or in the Orthodox Church. 48:48.200 --> 48:50.200 In the Orthodox Church, yes. 48:50.200 --> 48:52.200 And you realize that they had no 48:52.200 --> 48:54.200 possibility to sleep there 48:54.200 --> 48:56.200 except on wooden benches. 48:56.200 --> 48:58.200 I remember when I was talking 48:58.200 --> 49:00.200 on the phone with you 49:00.200 --> 49:02.200 and you were saying that 49:02.200 --> 49:04.200 during that period there was a woman 49:04.200 --> 49:06.200 who was supposed to be born, 49:06.200 --> 49:08.200 but she died. 49:08.200 --> 49:10.200 Yes, many cases happened. 49:10.200 --> 49:12.200 We were watching on the TV 49:12.200 --> 49:14.200 and they were saying that 49:14.200 --> 49:16.200 a woman from Mitoc Prut, 49:16.200 --> 49:18.200 if I'm not mistaken, 49:18.200 --> 49:20.200 was born, 49:20.200 --> 49:22.200 a child died and 49:22.200 --> 49:24.200 she couldn't come to save 49:24.200 --> 49:26.200 or help her. 49:26.200 --> 49:28.200 The child was not able 49:28.200 --> 49:30.200 to move. 49:30.200 --> 49:32.200 Yes, many cases happened during that period. 49:32.200 --> 49:34.200 People died. 49:34.200 --> 49:36.200 I thank God and thank 49:36.200 --> 49:38.200 all those who prayed for us 49:38.200 --> 49:40.200 and helped us 49:40.200 --> 49:42.200 to complete this mission. 49:42.200 --> 49:44.200 I couldn't go 49:44.200 --> 49:46.200 to only three villages with children 49:46.200 --> 49:48.200 but I am convinced that 49:48.200 --> 49:50.200 Mitoc, who actually 49:50.200 --> 49:52.200 spoke with 49:52.200 --> 49:54.200 the majority of the primary school 49:54.200 --> 49:56.200 and teachers from the villages 49:56.200 --> 49:58.200 were waiting for us. 49:58.200 --> 50:00.200 He brought the work to the end 50:00.200 --> 50:02.200 when the snow started 50:02.200 --> 50:04.200 to fall on the road. 50:04.200 --> 50:06.200 Schools were closed for weeks 50:06.200 --> 50:08.200 and only when he managed to 50:08.200 --> 50:10.200 close the school, 50:10.200 --> 50:12.200 before Christmas or after Christmas, 50:12.200 --> 50:14.200 I don't know when, 50:14.200 --> 50:16.200 but I know that he managed to 50:16.200 --> 50:18.200 reach all the children 50:18.200 --> 50:20.200 who had to go with the packages 50:20.200 --> 50:22.200 that we left for the number 50:22.200 --> 50:24.200 of schools that were there. 50:24.200 --> 50:26.200 I also thank 50:26.200 --> 50:28.200 Victor, the pastor's brother 50:28.200 --> 50:30.200 from the Adventist Church, 50:30.200 --> 50:32.200 Visan, if I am not mistaken, 50:32.200 --> 50:34.200 his family name, 50:34.200 --> 50:36.200 together with his sister Carmen, 50:36.200 --> 50:38.200 who was a great blessing 50:38.200 --> 50:40.200 when she introduced us to the Mironescu family 50:40.200 --> 50:42.200 and we were able to 50:42.200 --> 50:46.200 spend the night there. 50:46.200 --> 50:48.200 We don't want to forget 50:48.200 --> 50:50.200 our prayer list 50:50.200 --> 50:52.200 and pray for them. 50:52.200 --> 50:54.200 And once again, Victor promised us 50:54.200 --> 50:56.200 to live in a town 50:56.200 --> 50:58.200 called Dărăbani. 50:58.200 --> 51:00.200 It is a very beautiful town, 51:00.200 --> 51:02.200 well-arranged, 51:02.200 --> 51:04.200 we want to come and celebrate 51:04.200 --> 51:06.200 the year that is actually coming, 51:06.200 --> 51:08.200 the year of 2003, 51:08.200 --> 51:10.200 and we want to go back. 51:10.200 --> 51:12.200 After four days of staying 51:12.200 --> 51:14.200 in the snow with the cars, 51:14.200 --> 51:16.200 finally the roads opened 51:16.200 --> 51:18.200 and we can go out. 51:18.200 --> 51:20.200 It is very cold, 51:20.200 --> 51:22.200 it is minus 6 to minus 10 degrees 51:22.200 --> 51:24.200 outside, but thank God 51:24.200 --> 51:26.200 that we were able to get out 51:26.200 --> 51:28.200 of the snow. 51:28.200 --> 51:30.200 We are trying to get out 51:30.200 --> 51:32.200 of the snow, 51:32.200 --> 51:34.200 but now we are trying to fill it up 51:34.200 --> 51:36.200 so that we can go to the first town 51:36.200 --> 51:38.200 of Dărăbani, 51:38.200 --> 51:40.200 where we will change the road. 51:40.200 --> 51:42.200 We thank all those who have helped us 51:42.200 --> 51:44.200 and we believe that with the help of God 51:44.200 --> 51:46.200 we will get to the end. 51:46.200 --> 51:48.200 We even got plane tickets 51:48.200 --> 51:50.200 for a few days, 51:50.200 --> 51:52.200 but they didn't stop us 51:52.200 --> 51:54.200 and they are taking us out of here. 51:54.200 --> 51:56.200 Gian, what touched me 51:56.200 --> 51:58.200 extraordinarily impressed me 51:58.200 --> 52:00.200 when you spoke on the phone 52:00.200 --> 52:02.200 with the Mironesco family, 52:02.200 --> 52:04.200 where did you stay? 52:04.200 --> 52:06.200 Good Samaritans, in other words, 52:06.200 --> 52:08.200 where did you stay all these days? 52:08.200 --> 52:10.200 And you thanked them again, 52:10.200 --> 52:12.200 happy new year, you prayed with the Lord Jesus, 52:12.200 --> 52:14.200 and you asked a little on the phone 52:14.200 --> 52:16.200 about the situation with water. 52:16.200 --> 52:18.200 When you said that even in water, 52:18.200 --> 52:20.200 in the toilet, for example, 52:20.200 --> 52:22.200 you had to measure with a cane. 52:22.200 --> 52:24.200 Yes, in the toilet. 52:24.200 --> 52:26.200 And you asked, 52:26.200 --> 52:28.200 but now, 52:28.200 --> 52:30.200 when we were new, 52:30.200 --> 52:32.200 or maybe it was just this year... 52:32.200 --> 52:51.380 Two or three 52:51.380 --> 52:53.380 or four years ago, 52:53.380 --> 52:55.380 you told me, 52:55.380 --> 52:57.380 and I was very impressed, 52:57.380 --> 52:59.380 I told you, after you finished the conversation, 52:59.380 --> 53:01.380 in all the conversation 53:01.380 --> 53:03.380 you had with this brother, 53:03.380 --> 53:05.380 Gian, I didn't hear a word 53:05.380 --> 53:07.380 of whispers or whispers 53:07.380 --> 53:09.380 from this man's mouth. 53:09.380 --> 53:11.380 I was so impressed 53:11.380 --> 53:13.380 and you asked a few times 53:13.380 --> 53:15.380 and how do you deal with animals, 53:15.380 --> 53:17.380 how do you deal with 53:17.380 --> 53:19.380 the man to wet something? 53:19.380 --> 53:21.380 And I said, 53:21.380 --> 53:23.380 Brother, that's how it is, 53:23.380 --> 53:25.380 but glory to the Lord! 53:25.380 --> 53:27.380 I was so impressed 53:27.380 --> 53:29.380 and I told you, Gian, 53:29.380 --> 53:31.380 how many of us, 53:31.380 --> 53:33.380 those of us who are here, 53:33.380 --> 53:35.380 have learned, 53:35.380 --> 53:37.380 and other brothers and sisters, 53:37.380 --> 53:39.380 how many have learned, 53:39.380 --> 53:41.380 when everything is there 53:41.380 --> 53:43.380 and the man is singing 53:43.380 --> 53:45.380 and whispers and whispers 53:45.380 --> 53:47.380 and these people, 53:47.380 --> 53:49.380 every time, 53:49.380 --> 53:51.380 not only praising the good of God, 53:51.380 --> 53:53.380 it's good, brother, 53:53.380 --> 53:55.380 glory to the Lord, 53:55.380 --> 53:57.380 who could be even worse. 53:57.380 --> 53:59.380 And in their turn, 53:59.380 --> 54:01.380 as we discussed at the beginning, 54:01.380 --> 54:03.380 from the beginning of the program, 54:03.380 --> 54:05.380 how God puts us as members 54:05.380 --> 54:07.380 of the same body, 54:07.380 --> 54:09.380 the body of Christ, 54:09.380 --> 54:11.380 who was thinking 54:11.380 --> 54:13.380 when you were ready to leave here 54:13.380 --> 54:15.380 or when the children were ready to leave, 54:15.380 --> 54:17.380 brothers from here, 54:17.380 --> 54:19.380 how many other brothers 54:19.380 --> 54:21.380 you will meet 54:21.380 --> 54:23.380 that no one would have thought of 54:23.380 --> 54:25.380 and the Lord has united you all 54:25.380 --> 54:27.380 in the chain of love, Gian, 54:27.380 --> 54:29.380 because he is the Spirit of God, 54:29.380 --> 54:31.380 the Spirit of God, 54:31.380 --> 54:33.380 because in the Spirit of God 54:33.380 --> 54:35.380 there is unity, you can feel it, 54:35.380 --> 54:37.380 and the Lord Jesus is blessing these brothers. 54:37.380 --> 54:39.380 It was an extraordinary peace 54:39.380 --> 54:41.380 in these four nights 54:41.380 --> 54:43.380 that we spent together, 54:43.380 --> 54:45.380 and I was talking to my brother Sebi 54:45.380 --> 54:47.380 and he was telling me, 54:47.380 --> 54:49.380 and he told me on the phone 54:49.380 --> 54:51.380 when I talked to him, 54:51.380 --> 54:53.380 and his wife Cornelia said, 54:53.380 --> 54:55.380 I can't believe that 54:55.380 --> 54:57.380 four nights and five days 54:57.380 --> 54:59.380 I didn't drink coffee, 54:59.380 --> 55:01.380 and she says, 55:01.380 --> 55:03.380 usually when I don't drink coffee 55:03.380 --> 55:05.380 I am very restless 55:05.380 --> 55:07.380 and agitated, 55:07.380 --> 55:09.380 and I have had such peace 55:09.380 --> 55:11.380 and such silence 55:11.380 --> 55:13.380 for so long. 55:13.380 --> 55:15.380 Because he mentioned the atmosphere. 55:15.380 --> 55:17.380 The atmosphere of peace. 55:17.380 --> 55:19.380 First of all, the people who live there 55:19.380 --> 55:21.380 are not the ones who complain, 55:21.380 --> 55:23.380 in English, 55:23.380 --> 55:25.380 they are the ones who are murmuring 55:25.380 --> 55:27.380 and continuously voicing 55:27.380 --> 55:29.380 about the situation they are living in. 55:29.380 --> 55:31.380 How many people today 55:31.380 --> 55:33.380 are going through different difficulties 55:33.380 --> 55:35.380 even here in America 55:35.380 --> 55:37.380 and they are constantly hearing 55:37.380 --> 55:39.380 that they are murmuring 55:39.380 --> 55:41.380 about the situation they are living in, 55:41.380 --> 55:43.380 but when you look at 55:43.380 --> 55:45.380 the people in Romania, 55:45.380 --> 55:47.380 they are so simple, 55:47.380 --> 55:49.380 and they are living 55:49.380 --> 55:51.380 so simply in the 21st century, 55:51.380 --> 55:53.380 the year 2013, 55:53.380 --> 55:55.380 in which we entered, 55:55.380 --> 55:57.380 in this year, 55:57.380 --> 55:59.380 and to see on their faces 55:59.380 --> 56:01.380 peace and joy 56:01.380 --> 56:03.380 and to go through it as best as you can. 56:03.380 --> 56:05.380 More than impressive are the children 56:05.380 --> 56:07.380 that I gave each of them a package of tea. 56:07.380 --> 56:09.380 The children were saying that they wanted 56:09.380 --> 56:11.380 to give a package to a child 56:11.380 --> 56:13.380 and they said no, they didn't receive it. 56:13.380 --> 56:15.380 It is something else that they have to receive. 56:15.380 --> 56:17.380 So, 56:17.380 --> 56:19.380 such a peace 56:19.380 --> 56:21.380 and simplicity 56:21.380 --> 56:23.380 that they saw 56:23.380 --> 56:25.380 in the children 56:25.380 --> 56:27.380 from the Moldovan part. 56:27.380 --> 56:29.380 What I want to say is that time has passed 56:29.380 --> 56:31.380 and Jesus speaks in the Gospel 56:31.380 --> 56:33.380 according to Matthew 56:33.380 --> 56:35.380 and in the Gospel according to Luke. 56:35.380 --> 56:37.380 He says that they brought some children 56:37.380 --> 56:39.380 to put their hands on them 56:39.380 --> 56:41.380 and to pray for them, 56:41.380 --> 56:43.380 but the disciples were fighting them. 56:43.380 --> 56:45.380 And Jesus said, 56:45.380 --> 56:47.380 let the children come to me 56:47.380 --> 56:49.380 and do not stop them 56:49.380 --> 56:51.380 because the kingdom of those 56:51.380 --> 56:53.380 is of those like them. 56:53.380 --> 56:57.380 And in Luke 17, 18, 56:57.380 --> 56:59.380 verse 17 says, 56:59.380 --> 57:01.380 I tell you truly, 57:01.380 --> 57:03.380 that whoever will not receive 57:03.380 --> 57:05.380 the kingdom of God 57:05.380 --> 57:07.380 as a child, 57:07.380 --> 57:09.380 with no face, 57:09.380 --> 57:11.380 will not enter it. 57:11.380 --> 57:13.380 That's right. 57:13.380 --> 57:15.380 And I would like the Spirit of God 57:15.380 --> 57:17.380 to bless each of us. 57:17.380 --> 57:19.380 Once again, I want to thank 57:19.380 --> 57:21.380 all those who God put in their hearts 57:21.380 --> 57:23.380 to be in this work 57:23.380 --> 57:25.380 and I have full faith 57:25.380 --> 57:27.380 that even this year, 2013, 57:27.380 --> 57:29.380 God will put you in the hands 57:29.380 --> 57:31.380 of those who are not 57:31.380 --> 57:33.380 and that God will put you 57:33.380 --> 57:35.380 in the heart of those 57:35.380 --> 57:37.380 who will continue 57:37.380 --> 58:01.380 to be in the way of God.
